Welcome to Virgil Davis TaeKwonDo & Jiu Jitsu Academy!
The owners, Virgil and Angie Davis opened their Martial Art school in October 2000. Adults and Children learn how to reach their full potential through our confidence building martial arts programs. Direct but caring, instructors provide expert training in a fun and safe discipline environment to produce positive results. We develop vital skills of concentration and focus and we build confidence and self esteem. We teach anger management and non-violent conflict resolution. Our classes will make children safer but we focus on much more than just self defense.

In addition to TaeKwonDo, we also offer the following
Ø Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu –This class is for when the fight goes to the ground. The class is taught in a very slow but detailed way. We stress SAFETY
Ø Women Only Self Defense Classes-Hands on personal training that enables you to deal with various situations, if they happen. This training will make you more confident in your everyday living, contribute to a positive self esteem, give you a better sense of awareness, and reduce stress because you will practice frequently so that you can effectively execute the techniques.
Ø Stranger Danger Programs for Children
Since the opening of our Academy, we now have clubs within the following schools:

Virgil Davis TaeKwonDo Academy believes in “giving back” to the community. We do annual fund raisers for St. Jude’s children’s hospital, as well as other community functions within the city of Georgetown.
